Farewell Reception hosted by the High Commissioner of India

Acting President of the Republic of Mauritius H.E. Mr. Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, Prime Minister Hon. Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Leslie Collendavelloo, Minister Mentor Rt. Hon. Sir Anerood Jugnauth, several Cabinet Ministers, former Foreign Minister and Member of National Assembly Hon. Arvin Boolell and several members of the National Assembly from various political parties, senior officials of the Government of Mauritius, members of the Diplomatic Corps, heads of several socio-cultural organizations and members of the Indian community attended the farewell reception hosted by the High Commissioner of India Shri Abhay Thakur, today. About 400 persons attended the reception in all.

In his speech, Hon. Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth highlighted the progress in bilateral relations in the last two and half years and looked forward to his visit to India for the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas.

OCI cards to five prominent Mauritians were handed over on the occasion by the High Commissioner of India in the gracious presence of the Acting President of the Republic of Mauritius and Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius.
